What We're Looking For

The Content Marketing Team is seeking an editor who can work with staff writers to create content for our university partner programs. In this role, you will also find and pitch your own great ideas to research, report and write data-driven stories; work with writers, designers and a multimedia team to usher your own ideas—and those coming from your writers—from light-bulb moment to exceptional final product. The ideal candidate is a news junkie with an eye for great story ideas, who is comfortable shepherding a piece to completion via a variety of tools —  from project and content management systems to social media campaigns.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Work with writers to generate ideas and produce stories (and writes own stories) on deadline
  • Edit stories
  • Manage the project side of each story through publication
  • Create and maintain an editorial calendar and meet that calendar’s deadlines
  • Interface with internal marketing partners on strategy and content goals 
  • Work with design team on compelling infographics, data visualizations and other digital content that attracts readership and encourages sharing
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with school partners

Things That Should Be in Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree with relevant coursework (journalism, communications, English, marketing)
  • At least two years of management experience 
  • At least two years of project management experience 
  • Writing and editing background
  • Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Advanced understanding of publishing, marketing and PR
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
