We are looking for a QA Specialist to partner with our Product and Engineering teams to raise the quality bar for our suite of educational tools. If you’re passionate about shipping well-tested software and have knack for conjuring up creative use case scenarios, you’ll fit right into our team here at 2U.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Developing and maintaining test plans, cases, and strategies for new products and feature enhancements in an Agile environment
  • Communicating directly with engineers, project managers and a slew of stakeholders
  • Innovating and testing on cutting-edge platforms
  • Testing 2U’s suite of products, web applications, websites, and mobile

Things That Should Be in Your Background

  • 1-2 years' experience in QA with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Develop test plans and test cases for feature enhancements and new products
  • Ability to drive the QA process, determine needs and strategies, then execute
  • Familiarity with software deployment processes
  • Proficiency in Black-box testing
  • Ability to grasp new concepts and technologies quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • The urge to be part of a team of highly skilled people, all with strong opinions about various technologies, frameworks, and approaches to delivery
  • You have knowledge and experience in QA best practices, techniques, and tools (both custom and off-the-shelf) in a fast-paced, iterative software development life cycle:
  • Familiarity with Release Management, MySQL, MongoDB or Web Services
  • Some experience with open-source automation tools (i.e. Selenium or Cucumber) is a huge plus
