Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

Digital Media Team Lead:

  • Hire, retain and develop a team of 8+ coordinators, specialists and managers
  • Lead strategic initiatives related to goal setting, prioritization, and process development
  • Monitor media performance with direct reports and guide strategy of future efforts
  • Report on long-term media performance initiatives to other directors, SVP and CMO
  • Train team of media specialists to analyze and problem-solve
  • Lead a culture of smart testing, trial and error, and media innovation

Lead Biddable Media Strategy / Management:

  • Develop and execute new strategies for biddable channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google and other PPC channels
  • Collaborate with relationship lead to set agendas and influence partner road maps
  • Collaborate with other directors on Demand Gen team to set mid-term to long-term priorities and road maps for biddable channels
  • Consistently evaluate and implement new approaches to targeting, bidding and optimization
  • Ensure 2U participates in appropriate betas and tests out new product offerings

Lead Day-to-Day Media Buying / Management: 

  • Work with teams to develop monthly business goals each program and media channel
  • Review and sign off on media team’s monthly plans (i.e. targeting, bidding and budgets)
  • Monitor portfolio performance in-month; triage problems; communicate across DG team
  • Ensure media performance is achieving monthly business goals as set by analysts
  • Take responsibility for media hitting cost efficiency and volume targets as set through monthly business goal planning

Things That Should Be in Your Background

  • 6+ years of experience in digital marketing and lead generation
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of digital marketing platforms and engines (ie. Adwords, Facebook) as well as web analytics tools (ie. Google Analytics)
  • Must have experience building, measuring and optimizing digital media campaigns across platforms
  • Must have a track record in managing cross-channel learning agendas; developing and achieving business goals
  • Must have familiarity with how to manage media to direct response goals including usage of CRM system for KPIs

You are someone who:

  • Has a Bachelor’s degree; MBA a plus
  • Has a keen interest in digital marketing (subject matter expertise are required)
  • Is adept at problem solving and can balance creativity with analytical sills
  • Is strong with data with working knowledge of excel and Tableau or other BI tool
  • Is a very strong team leader who can hire, retain and develop talent
  • Has a strong work ethic and doesn’t accept complacency
  • Demonstrates proactive thinking – always seeking ways to do something better

Other Attributes That Will Help You in This Role

  • Background or coursework in Statistics, Economics or Business
  • The ability to multi-task, stay organized and evaluate priorities on an ongoing basis
  • The ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information in a tactful manner
  • The ability to manage others and give constructive feedback
  • The ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams in an organization
