What We're Looking For

The Sr. Manager of Compensation is a seasoned compensation professional with the ability to work flexibly and creatively to establish and continually enhance the Compensation function. You will be the subject matter expert on executive compensation, and responsible for managing the administration of all the global short/long term incentive (STI/LTI) compensation programs, including the company’s annual bonus and equity plan. You will work closely with various internal stakeholders at all levels as well as external compensation vendors.

You should be an Excel guru, and pride yourself on attention to detail and analytical skills. Given the fast-paced and changing environment, you adapt to change easily & often, while staying on top on trends in compensation.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Develop and assist in the implementation of executive compensation design recommendations, including (but not limited to) overall pay mix, short term incentives, long-term incentives, equity awards, executive benefit programs, and contracts
  • Monitor, track, and manage 2U STI/LTI plans with the support of the Compensation Specialist 
  • Partner with and advise 2U Leadership Teams and HR Business Partners regarding compensation inquires and concerns 
  • Partner with the Finance and Legal Teams ensuring the compensation plans are compliant with Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations, providing data for filings and reports as needed
  • Provide analysis of the company's compensation data to develop executive summaries for 2U leadership and compensation committee summaries 
  • Assist with the completion of surveys and creation of reports and analysis of compensation data from third-party survey vendors
  • Review internal policies and practices, both formal and informal, to develop clear guidelines and publish new or revised policies as needed
  • Manage Compensation Specialist team member(s)
  • Support the Sr. Director Compensation & Benefits on ad-hoc or other initiatives

Things That Should Be in Your Background

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Compensation roles, with 3+ years focusing on executive compensation plans
  • Must have executive compensation experience within a public traded company with strong knowledge of executive compensation programs & practices, as well as understanding of executive compensation laws and regulations
  • Strong data and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret financial data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience in preparation for Board of Director/Compensation Committee meeting material preferred 
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work in quickly-changing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required
