What We're Looking For

The 2U Content Marketing Team is seeking a Digital PR Manager drive the outreach strategy for marketing content produced on behalf of our university partners. The ideal candidate is results-driven and demonstrates exceptional organization, communication and writing skills. S/he has an innate understanding of the digital media landscape and can manage a team of outreach coordinators to achieve ambitious link goals. S/he is able to navigate today’s multimedia landscape to identify, engage and cultivate thought-leaders and influencers that result in quality placements for content. S/he can set the strategy to meet ambitious outreach goals across programs.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Set the strategy to achieve ambitious link goals for 2U-supported programs
  • Maximize angles and audiences to secure link placements for content
  • Manage coordinators in the planning and execution of daily outreach efforts
  • Provide critical feedback on pitches, angles and lists
  • Manage rigorous workflow and output from a team of coordinators
  • Responsible for quality control in all outreach communication
  • Use data to pivot the strategy as needed based on pacing to goal
  • Direct the content team in performance
  • Use social media to target and cultivate thought-leaders and influencers
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset when faced with obstacles or challenges
  • Professionally develop a team of direct reports 
  • Report and problem-solve weekly KPIs to relevant stakeholders
  • Stay current in media trends through constant consumption of news
  • Develop new systems to maximize outreach efficiency as 2U scales
  • Write and edit press releases as needed

Things That Should Be in Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in with public relations, community management or sales
  • Exceptional writing ability and communication skills required
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills required
  • Ability to manage a large and developing team to ambitious link-building goals

  • Read and consume media constantly
